Yes. X API v2 write access requires a paid X subscription (Premium or higher). There is no free tier for posting.

How does authentication work?

OAuth 2.0 with PKCE. Users authorize AmplifyAgent via X's authorization page. Access tokens expire every 2 hours — the agent auto-refreshes using the refresh token.

Can it reply to mentions automatically?

The agent can detect mentions and engagement, but auto-replying is disabled by default. You can enable it in the agent dashboard at your own risk.

What topics can it post about?

You configure 3-5 topic areas in the agent dashboard. The agent generates content exclusively within those areas.

Is there an app review gate like TikTok?

No. X API v2 requires no app audit for posting. You only need a paid X subscription and a registered developer app.
